Few Words About Myself Kimmo Obiora
I am a security and risk management expert from Helsinki Finland, currently based in Doha Qatar. I graduated in 2002 from Laurea University of Applied Sciences (majored in security management). I have worked as a security advisor for the Finnish Tax Administration. I was the security and safety advisor for the Helsinki University Central Hospital district for 6 years. I am a former Finnish Defence Forces Scout/ Intelligence officer specializing in tactical reconnaissance and field intelligence operations. I have served twice in a NATO/KFOR mission in Kosovo.
- 2004 as a Reconnaissance Squad Leader (ISR)
- 2008 as a Liaison officer between NATO/KFOR and Kosovos specialised police units.
I have also served in a UN mission (2018-2019). I was the team leader of Team Eagle military observers in UNTSO-OGG-T in the Golan Heights (Israeli occupied Syria). I am also highly experienced in the private industry of crisis security management in hostile areas as security manager in contracted projects around the world (South Sudan, Mindanao/Philippines, Somalia). At the moment, I am the Operations Coordinator and Risk Analyst for the European Union Delegation to Somalia in Mogadishu, through GardaWorld.
